State Assembly, Junior League, honor Joel Seligman

Assemblyman Robert J. Castelli joined the Junior League of Northern Westchester at their annual 'Around the World in Eighty Wines' event this past week to honor Joel Seligman, President and CEO of Northern Westchester Hospital.

"The Junior League of Northern Westchester is an organization of women trained for effective leadership in community activities and dedicated to the belief that volunteer service is an essential part of responsible citizenship," Castelli said. "I am proud to join them in honoring a community leader like Joel Seligman and raising awareness of the important mission that the Junior League so selflessly performs."

During the event, Castelli presented an official Assembly Citation to Seligman, as well as Certificates of Merit to John Crabtree of Crabtree's Kittle House of Chappaqua, and Nick & John Bueti of Mt. Kisco Wine and Spirits, for their generosity in assisting the Junior League of Northern Westchester with the event.

"Joel Seligman has been a leader for many years in promoting excellence in community health, healthcare and community service in Northern Westchester and beyond," Castelli said. "He has increased community outreach, facilitated and strengthened the relationship between Northern Westchester Hospital and the Junior League of Northern Westchester, and together they successfully delivered important community projects including the distribution of defibrillators throughout the community, the Planetree Caring Cart and the Garden of Hope next to the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit at Northern Westchester Hospital Center."

The Junior League of Northern Westchester is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
