[UPDATE] Lower King Street Work Talk; Kisco Chamber Meet Covers Social Media
Notable items for Tuesday.
Update: According to New Castle Town Administrator Penny Paderewski, the town board will not have the year for when the water and sewer lines must be replaced at its meeting. This is because they do not yet have the reports from consulting engineers, Paderewski explained.
1. The New Castle Town Board will meet at another work session tonight, at 7:30 p.m., to discuss the proposed renovation of Lower King Street (click here to learn more it), which has drawn some concern from merchants about how it could impact them during the construction phase. The board is expected to find out how long underground water and sewer pipes slated for replacement can be left where they are, according to Town Administrator Penny Paderewski. The work session will be followed by a regular session, with both at New Castle Town Hall. Click here for the agenda.
2. The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce has announced a networking meeting for today at noon, at the Mount Kisco Public Library. Topics include a social media use presentation by Mike Wolfe of WAM Marketing Solutions. Admission is $20 for chamber members and $25 for folks who are non members.
3. Frannie's Goodie Shop is on tonight's Mount Kisco Planning Board agenda for a follow up concerning the removal of its outdoor heaters, which Building Inspector Austin Casidy stated to be in violation of the business's site plan. It is unclear whether or not the planning board will take a vote on whether to deny or reinstate them. The Planning Board meets tonight at 7:30 p.m., at Mount Kisco Village Hall.
