In a huge blow to the village and residents, this year's St. Patrick's Day parade in Mount Kisco has been cancelled due to the anticipation of severe weather. It was supposed to have been held tomorrow at 2 p.m. The village announced the cancellation on its Web site this afternoon, and said that there won't be another parade until next year, March 12, 2011.

As of Friday evening, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecasts heavy rain and wind for Mount Kisco for tomorrow. Rain is also forecast for Sunday.
