Mount Kisco's St. Patrick's Day Parade Saturday

Signs of the holiday are already up.

Mount Kisco will have its 20th annual St. Patrick's Day parade Saturday. Presented by the Ancient Order of the Hiberians, Frank H. Fox Division 16, the event will precede with a stand review performance at 1 p.m. The parade itself will commence at 2 p.m. The parade will feature more than 60 groups, including bagpipe players, step dancers and military re-enactors. Fire trucks, antique cars and police cars will also be part of the event, according to the Hiberians.

This year's Grand Marshall will be George Griffin, a village Trustee. Veronica Yates will be honored as Hibernian of the Year. The parade route will pass through Main Street and South Moger Avenue. Already, there are tell-tale signs of St. Patrick's Day up across the village, including several displays of the Irish flag and outward shades of green.
