Mt. Kisco Athletic Club, Northern Westchester Hospital, Team Up for Haiti
Hospital is sponsoring event at the club to help Doctors Without Borders' overseas operations.
The Mt. Kisco Athletic Club will host an event tomorrow to help raise money for Doctors Without Borders and its work in Haiti. Northern Westchester Hospital is sponsoring the event, said Tom Brady, who works for the athletic club.
"The Mt. Kisco Athletic Club is very happy to be able to support Northern Westchester Hospital's employee congress's efforts to raise funds for their affiliation with Doctors Without Boarders," he said. "Because it's important for us to remember as a club to support the community."
The event itself will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Brady said that it will feature five 45-minute Zumba classes, which are Latin-inspired dance programs that include salsa and the cha-cha. In addition, it will have five spinning classes, which are 45 minutes and involve riding stationary bikes to music.
The club will also open its doors to anyone who wants to participate, with $10 for admission, or $10 per class. Brady said that 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders and its work in Haiti. He also said that guests can be sponsored by friends to take classes.
