New Castle Police Arrest 3, Allege Attempted Burglary

Men from Yorktown, Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow also charged with possession of stolen property.

Three men from neighboring communities were arrested Feb. 3 by New Castle police after allegedly being discovered near a Chappaqua property.

Police received a suspicious person report and reported that a black Audi vehicle fled the scene. The vehicle was stopped on Route 133, police announced, and three were discovered inside. Police also said that the men possessed stolen GPS devices and credit cards.

The men arrested are: 25-year-old Yorktown resident Christopher Demauro, who was the driver, 19-year-old Sleepy Hollow resident Frederick Polanco, and 25-year-old Tarrytown resident James Donovan.

Each were charged with attempted burglary, a felony, along with counts of criminal possession of stolen property, police said. They were each arraigned in New Castle Justice Court on $10,000 bail and are set to appear again on Feb. 9.
