A 55-year-old New Castle woman was found deceased on Tuesday, police said.

The woman has been identified as Anne Boylan, of Carol Drive, which is in the northern section of town and near the Mount Kisco border, to the village's northwest. She was discovered in the woods near her home. The identity was first reported by The Journal News as having been released by the Westchester County Medical Examiner's office. Patch confirmed that report and her identity with the examiner's office. New Castle police have declined to release the identity at this time.

Westchester County police are providing mutual aid in the investigation.

The examiner's office will release an autopsy on Wednesday, while police told The Journal News that they would have a Wednesday update.
