New Store with Old Name Offers the Goodies in Kisco
Frannie's Goodie Shop officially opened Wednesday. The name is intended to be a compliment to an earlier Mount Kisco store of a similar name.
With frozen yogurt and other sweets in stock, Frannie's Goodie Shop opened Wednesday as one of Mount Kisco's newest businesses.
Patrons at Frannie’s, located next to Clearview Cinemas, are invited to “Create their own masterpieces,” according to owner Frannie Albanese.
“We will have a rotating assortment of yogurt flavors, with a ‘no sugar added’ flavor, a sorbet, a tart flavor or two and several sweet favorites,” she added.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Frannie’s offers over 40 different toppings ranging from the expected – chocolate chips, crushed oreos and cheeries – to the totally unexpected – pomegranate seeds, chocolate covered pretzels and yes, Cap'n Crunch cereal.
A dispenser of hot fudge, hot caramel and whipped cream as well as three different varieties of Ghirardelli Syrups (dark chocolate, white chocolate and caramel) round out the selection. The flavor combinations are limitless.

Frannie’s also features Amanzi Tea, Wolfgang Puck Coffee, cappuccino, espresso, desserts, snacks and confections. Small salads and paninis will follow. “I like to showcase local products,” Albanese said. “We feature Mrs. Larkin’s amazing scones and cookies [from Pound Ridge] and Divvies candies and confections [from South Salem]. All of Divvie’s products are made without peanuts, tree nuts, eggs or milk – a real boon to parents of children with food allergies,”
And there is even something called "Gourmet Garbage."
What inspired Frannie to open Frannie’s Goodie Shop?
Frannie and her husband Isi, who is also the owner of Bellizzi, wanted to recreate the “Goodie Shop” that they remembered from their childhood. “It was the most amazing place you could imagine!” she said. “People strolled the streets, chatted with their friends and enjoyed a sweet treat”
“And with the new pocket park next door, people can enjoy their treats while enjoying the scenery.” she added, referencing new landscaping that will be done just south of the property, on a strip of village-owned land.
In addition, Frannie's has vowed donate to a specific charity each quarter to make life a little sweeter for their neighbors in need.
“This quarter we will be donating to The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry, who serves 165 households each week in the greater Mount Kisco and New Castle area.” said Albanese.
“Frannie's also uses 100% compostable yogurt cups and utensils to do our part in reducing waste.” she added.
Frannie's Goodie Shop is located at 134 East Main Street in Mount Kisco.
They are open Sunday - Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Friday - Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. For more information call 914-218-8697.
