Northern Westchester Hospital Doctor to Co-Chair Council

Dr. Marla Koroly is appointed Co-Chair of the Chief Medical Officer Council at NY Presbyterian Healthcare system.

 

According to a press release, Northern Westchester Hospital announced on Jan. 10 the appointment of Marla Koroly, MD, FACP, Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer, to Co-Chair of the Chief Medical Officer Council at NY Presbyterian Healthcare system.

Dr. Koroly’s record of recognition attests to her abilities: She has led Northern Westchester Hospital to receiving Designation with Distinction by Planetree for providing the highest level of patient centered-care, NWH Orthopedic and Spine Institute performing in the top 1% in the U.S. in patient satisfaction, earning the Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award for stroke care from The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, the hospital being fully accredited by the Joint Commission and the accreditation of the The Breast Institute and Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs.

The committee Dr. Koroly will co-chair is comprised of Chief Medical Officers from New York Presbyterian Healthcare System affiliated hospitals who work together to address healthcare quality, regulatory issues, management of medical staff and other issues relating to enhancing healthcare quality and efficiency.

Dr. Koroly attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine, with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and completed her internal medicine residency at New York University Medical Center.
