Foxes defeat Greeley
Rivalries are the lightning rod of high-school sports and the Fox Lane-Horace Greeley boys basketball rivalry is as good as any.
Led by Dylan Peretz (19 points) and Will Trawick (15), Fox Lane (12-2) garnered bragging rights by defeating visiting Greeley 63-60 Feb. 1.
Greeley (8-7) was led by Harrison Brown (16) and Connor Domershick (14).

New Castle wins
New Castle came up with a big 31-29 triumph against Armonk in the boys fifth grade A division of the Tri-County Basketball League Jan. 28.
Yale wins
Horace Greeley graduate Matt Townsend and his Yale teammates were victorious against visiting Dartmouth 62-52 Jan. 28.
Townsend contributed two points to the win for Yale.
