[UPDATE] 2nd Trooper/Pedestrian Car Incident in Mount Kisco
Two state troopers hit two residents this week. State police spokesman says the troopers were not doing security detail for Governor Cuomo, who lives near by.
Update, 1:25 p.m., Jan 20:
State police confirmed that another state trooper struck a pedestrian with his car Thursday night at around 6:45 p.m.
The trooper was identified as Investigator Gregory Panzarella, who was on duty and driving his state-issued vehicle, a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. He struck Jeronimo Ardon Perez, a 50-year-old Mount Kisco man, while he was crossing between Brookside Avenue and the American Legion hall.
Panzarella was assigned to protective services work, which entails guarding officials, according to Kopy. However, he was not assigned to the detail of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who lives in New Castle just west of the town line with Mount Kisco.
Police closed a stretch of Route 117 during the investigation.
While the situation is still being investigated, State Police Maj. Michael Kopy said apparently Perez had walked out in front of the vehicle and that Panzarella was driving within the speed limit. Perez sustained internal and head injuries, Kopy said, and was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, which handles more severe injuries than nearby Northern Westchester Hospital.
The accident was the second of its kind in less than a week in the village. On Wednesday morning, State Police Sgt. Joseph Crispino struck 22-year-old Mount Kisco resident Dolce Perez on West Main Street with his vehicle while on duty, according to Kopy. Crispino, who also does protective work, was not doing work for Cuomo during the accident, Kopy said
Kopy declined to comment when asked whether or not Crispino or Panzarella have done security detail for Cuomo in the past.

The stretch of 117, also known as North Bedford Road, was from Brookside Avenue to Victoria Drive, which is the entrance to the Guard Hill Manor townhouse complex.
