Folks discuss what could happened locally if there is a federal default.

With ongoing talks between the president and Congress over what budgetary changes should come with a debt ceiling increase, the federal government is coming closer to default as the deadline nears.

To find out what the ramifications of a federal government default could mean locally, we asked several stakeholders in the are to give their takes. They are:

  • Bill Harden, owner of Mount Kisco-based He is also a former president of the and a current board member.
  • Andi Gray, president of , a Chappaqua-based firm that does small business consulting.
  • Lindsay Farrell, president and CEO of , which has several branches in Westchester County, including Mount Kisco.
  • Peter Harckham, a Katonah Democrat who repesents Mount Kisco in his Westchester County legislative district.
