DESCRIPTION:Singer/songwriter and environmental activist Dar Williams wil
 l share her vision of a sustainable local lifestyle on Thursday\, Februa
 ry 9 at 7 p.m. in Reisinger Concert Hall&nbsp\; on the Sarah Lawrence Co
 llege campus.\nWilliams will discuss how "positive proximity" can reduce
  the impact on the environment as well as her views on the high cost of 
 consumption. She will also perform some of her songs into which she has 
 incorporated her passion for the environment.\nOne of the most lauded si
 nger-songwriters of her generation\, Dar Williams has been captivating a
 udiences with her folk-pop songwriting since the early '90s. She has tou
 red with such distinguished artists as Joan Baez\, Patty Griffin\, Ani D
 iFranco\, and Shawn Colvin\, and recently became a regular contributor t
 o the Huffington Post's Green Blog. A dedicated environmentalist\, Willi
 ams toured throughout the northeast visiting children's camps and planti
 ng bee gardens in summer 2011.\nWilliams is set to release her ninth stu
 dio album\, In The Time Of Gods\, which includes the songs "This Earth\,
 " and "The Light And The Sea" in April.\nThis event is presented by the
