Crabtree's Kittle House Restaurant and Inn has been owned and operated by the Crabtree family since 1981. It began first as a barn in 1790 until it was transformed into a restaurant and carriage house by the Kittle family, who eventually sold it. Over the years, the grounds have served as a cattle ranch, a school, a roadhouse and an inn.

Today Crabtree's Kittle House Restaurant and Inn is best known for sophisticated country dining, its beautiful Tap Room bar, a world class wine cellar and an 18th century inn with 12 quaintly decorated rooms.

There is a sun-lit Atrium room on the garden level which holds up to 200 guests for private affairs and weddings.

Executive chef Brad McDonald prides himself on a menu that incorporates organic, whole foods grown and raised locally. His signature dishes include Hudson Valley Moulard Duck Magret, Montauk Point Monk Fish, Gnudi, a ricotta ravioli and Scallops with Verbena.

A vast selection of some 65,000 wine bottles from around the world age in an impressive wine cellar just off a tasting room. The wine list has received top awards from both The Wine Spectator and The Wine Enthusiast for years.

Reservations are recommended.

Music in the Tap Room is provided Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights: Blues and Classics Thursday and Friday nights and Live Jazz on Saturday nights.
