Update: New Castle Meetings Cancelled

Update, Jan. 21, 1:20 p.m.
The New Castle Town Clerk's office announced that the town board and planning board meetings will not be held tonight because of the weather, and that the town board meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday at 7 p.m. No new date has been announced for the planning board. Additionally, the Mount Kisco Village Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m., not Tuesday night as originally reported.

1. The New Castle Historical Society will have a guest to discuss antique clocks as part of its Antiques Lecture & Appraisal Series, according to this announcement. It is scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Chappaqua Library.

2. The New Castle Town Board is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 p.m. at town hall in Chappaqua for a work session, according to its agenda. Items will include a recap presentation of The Spa at New Castle, which is a proposed redevelopment for the Legionaries of Christ site that includes 50 condos, 34 hotel rooms, a spa, pool and restaurant. 3. The Mount Kisco Village Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. Agenda items include petitions for rezoning Boys & Girls Club property involved in a transaction with the village, as well as a senior housing proposal by Morgan Drive. 4. The New Castle Planning Board is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 p.m. at town hall. Agenda items include a work session for Chappaqua Crossing update. The discussion will come two weeks after board member Tom Curley presented a revised layout concept that he made, which involves changing developer Summit/Greenfield's retail plan into something that resembles a downtown space. 

5. Fox Lane High School announced that it's holding an 8th-grade parents' orientation, which is scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. at the high school's large cafeteria.
