Bedford School Board Meeting; The Hearth IDA Hearing

1. The Bedford Central school board meets tonight at 7 p.m. at Fox Lane Middle School. The agenda, which includes discussion of the proposed capital plan, can be found here.

2. The Hearth at Mount Kisco will have a hearing today before the Westchester County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), according to Village Attorney Whitney Singleton. It will be at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Kisco's village hall. The hearing is due to a request from the senior housing developer to seek exemptions for sales and mortgages taxes. However, it means that the developer would be entering into talks with Mount Kisco for a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreement, something that worries local officials.

3. The National Weather Service predicts a 20-percent chance of isolated thunderstorms and a high of 89 degrees in Chappaqua and 90 degrees in Mount Kisco and Millwood.
