Neighbors Link Gathering; Town Board & School Board Meetings

1. Mount Kisco-based immigrant services group Neighbors Link will announced that it will have a luncheon called “Women and the Global Immigrant Experience." It will be today at 12 p.m. at Glen Arbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills. The speaker will be Maria Otero, who served as an undersecretary of state. Details are at this link.

2. Elections are done but the current New Castle Town Board is still governing until new members join. The board will meet tonight for a work session at 7:45 p.m. at town hall in Chappaqua. Agenda items include an update on work for downtown Chappaqua. The agenda is at this link.

3. The Chappaqua school board also meets tonight, according to its agenda, at 7:30 p.m. at Horace Greeley High School. Agenda items include a presentation on middle school focus and a superintendent's update on data for Race to the Top. The agenda is at this link.

4. The National Weather Service predicts that today will be partly sunny with a high temperature of 58 degrees.

5. Cellist Edward Arron will be performing tonight 8 p.m. at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, according to this announcement. He will be there along with the Bedford Chamber Ensemble and Anthony Newman.
