School Board Meetings; League of Women Voters Forum

1. The Chappaqua school board will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Horace Greeley High School's commons. Agenda items include an audit presentation, Greeley traffic flow plan report and a presentation of the school report card.

2. The Bedford Central school board meets Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at Fox Lane Middle School's theater. The board had previously set a goal of announcing a selection of who to pick for Lee Goldstein's former seat, although the item is not specifically mentioned on the agenda. Three candidates have applied for it. One notable item will come before the regular meeting, with an executive session at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a proposed real property acquisition.

3. The League of Women Voters of Bedford-Lewisboro-North Salem announced that it is having a meeting about several proposals slated to appear on the November election ballot. The items include a proposed state constitutional amendment to allow seven casino gambling sites, and to allow municipalities to exclude indebtedness from sewer work to be excluded from debt limits. The talk starts at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and will be held at the Katonah Village Library.
