If successful, this developer in tandem with the newly-elected New Castle Town Board will ruin a rural residential community which is currently protected from this kind of development under existing zoning. It is uncertain why the New Castle Town Board is even considering rezoning given the fact that there is no benefit to the community, septic issues pose serious issues to neighboring homes and properties, street noise and lights will destroy the serenity for those who live there, and route 128 - which has already become a dangerous road - will become a death trap for those who live on and use it. Yes, New Castle Town Board, there is seriously increased likelihood that someone will die from an auto accident on this road as a direct result of this development and the traffic it will attract... unless you act to protect your residents by stopping this hotel/spa/resort from moving forward in this location which is zoned only for residential homes on two-acre lots.
