New Castle 6th Grade Boys Win the FCBL Tournament Championship

The top seeded New Castle 6th Grade Boys team defeated the Greenwich Flames Red 44 - 27 to win the Fairfield County Basketball League Tournament Championship (FCBL).  With a swarming team defense and balanced offensive attack, New Castle advanced to the title game in bracket play by defeating the Greenwich Stars Blue, Norwalk Youth and Wilton White.

Led by head coach Brad Ceisler and assistant coach Joe Dunleavy, the New Castle boys racked up an impressive combined 19 - 2 record in their inaugural season in the very competitive FCBL.  Along the way they also captured the New Cannan/Joe Coppo Memorial Basketball Tournament championship and the FCBL regular season league championship.
