Northern Westchester Families Make Holidays Brighter for Kids Battling Cancer

UJA-Federation of New York's Northern Westchester Community made the holidays brighter for children battling cancer on Sunday by making craft packages for Sunrise on Wheels, a year-round program that brings some fun to kids as they undergo long hours of treatment at the hospital. Sunrise on Wheels is affiliated with Sunrise Day Camp Sunrise, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings, which is a project of the Rosenthal JCC of Northern Westchester and the Barry and Florence Friedberg Jewish Community Center, both UJA-Federation beneficiary agencies. The event was part of the Gift of Chanukah, a program during which UJA-Federation's Westchester communities share the season's spirit at parties with clients at a number of its beneficiary agencies.
