Fall Fun in Ragamuffin Parade [VIDEO]

In Chappaqua, kids, parents celebrate with costumes; carnival widely attended.

Halloween came early to Chappaqua Sunday, as throngs of costumed kids and their parents marched in the Ragamuffin parade.

Good weather and peak foliage greeted the marchers, who walked around a loop from the train station parking lot and through Washington and South Greeley avenues. The event was big for young families, as there was no shortage of adults pushing strollers or giving piggyback rides for kids.

The parade, which was organized by New Castle's Recreation and Parks Department, was coupled with a carnival in front of the train station. It included bouncy rides, a small mini golf display and a concert from Chris Fox & Mojo Monde. Sponsors included WeeZee, Korth & Shannahan and the New Castle Police Benevolent Association.
