Is Hillary Clinton Running for President?
Jon Stewart failed to push the Chappaqua resident into an announcement when the former Secretary of State and First Lady appeared on the Daily Show to promote her new book.
Everybody wants to know if Hillary Clinton is going to run for President.
So no one was surprised when Jon Stewart opened his Daily Show interview with her about her new book by saying it was good but he didn't care—he only wanted her to make the big announcement.
She pushed right back.
"You kind of spoiled it," Clinton replied. "So I have to reconsider where I go do it."
And the media world has gone nuts.
Salon.com called it "Jon Stewart’s shocking, shining moment."
The Brits were watching too: The Telegraph featured the video, saying "Hillary Clinton Laughs off Jon Stewart's questions."
eonline.com called Clinton "multihyphenate" for the Secretary-of-State-and-First-Lady thing.
For the record, Clinton's book is Hard Choices, a memoir of about her time in the Obama administration. Stewart called it "an incredibly complex and well-reasoned eyewitness view."
