Mt. Kisco Groups to Hold Sandy Fundraiser

Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Lions Club are among Mount Kisco civic groups helping out with post-Hurricane Sandy event.

The devasting impact of Hurricane Sandy has been felt both locally and regionally. This evening, several Mount Kisco groups will back a fundraiser who help those who have been hurt by it.

The event, called the Westchester County Hurricane Sandy Benefit S.O.S. (Spirit of Salvation), starts at 5 p.m. at Mount Kisco's Holiday Inn, according to an announcement sent out by the village's chamber of commerce.

The night will include a silent auction, raffles and a buffet, a promotional flyer notes. Entry is $20 at the door, with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the Staten Island Rotary Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

Local co-sponsors of the fundraiser include the chamber, Mount Kisco's Rotary and Lions Club chapters, Moonlight Cruis'N' Entertainment and Castle Dream Productions & Traxfest Music.

Michael Wolfe, who runs the local company WAM Enterprises and is on the chamber's board, is excited about the event and feels that the money is going to a great cause.
