Thanksgiving Weekend: Bancroft Dinner, MTK Benefit

St. Mark's Thanksgiving Dinner

Where/When: St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Mount Kisco, on Thursday, Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving Day), from noon to 3 p.m.

Why go: St. Mark's is holding its dinner, which is an annual event. It is named in honor of the late Martin Bancroft, a longtime fixture in the village.

MTK Tavern Benefit for Community Center

Where/When: MTK Tavern (30 E. Main St.), Mount Kisco, on Saturday, Nov. 24, 9 p.m.

Why go: MTK Tavern is holding a rock event to benefit the Community Center of Northern Westchester in Katonah, featuring several musicians.

Friday Movies at the Chappaqua Library

Where/When: Chappaqua Library, Chappaqua, on Friday, Nov. 23, 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Why go: The library is offering films for folks to relax after Thanksgiving dining. The first film is an animated feature, while the second is a Martin Scorsese work called The Last Waltz.

The Three Musketeers

Where/When: Jacob Burns Film Center on Thursday, Nov. 22, Friday, Nov. 23, Saturday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 25 at 12 p.m.

Why go: This classic 1948 film is being shown at noon all-weekend-long at Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville as part of the "Movies for Kids" series. The film is 125-minutes-long and stars Gene Kelly.

Pricing: $11 nonmember adults; $8 nonmember seniors and students; $6.50 children; $6 members

Animal Feast

Where/When: Teatown Lake Reservation on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m.

Why go: Learn what Teatown's animal ambassadors eat and help the staff with daily feeding duties. Registration is strongly recommended—call 762-2912 ext. 110 to reserve a spot.

Pricing: $5 nonmembers; free for members

Thanksgiving Friendship Feast

Where/When: Pleasantville Presbyterian Church, Pleasantville, on Thursday, Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving Day) at 5 p.m.

Why go: The Bedford Road church is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Friendship Feast with members of the church and community tomorrow. Reservations are not required, but requested. Save your spot by calling 769-0458 or by emailing info@­pville­presby.­org. Feel free to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Pricing: Free

Booster Club Turkey Trot

Where/When: Briarcliff High School on Friday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 a.m.

Why go: Burn off your Thanksgiving meal at the Briarcliff Booster Club's second annual Turkey Trot. There is a 5K for runners and a 2-mile walk open to families. All benefits benefit the Booster Club, which sponsors events and equipment purchases for the schools' athletic programs. Day of registration takes place between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and the race begins at 8:30 a.m.

Pricing: $20 suggested donation

Black Friday Pottery Painting

Where/When: A Maze in Pottery on Friday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Why go: Make a personalized holiday gift or something for yourself on Black Friday when this North State Road business is offering a free sitting fee for all painters all day long.

Pricing: Free studio fee; $5 to $80 per pottery piece
