Winter Storm Hub: Closed Chappaqua Library, Town Hall

This hub contains useful information for the snow storm. Below is a list of updates and contact information.

Friday updates:

  • New Castle Town Hall is closed, the town announced.
  • The Chappaqua Library announced that it's closed due to the weather.
  • Clearing of snow is continuing according to a message on New Castle's Facebook site.
  • The Mount Kisco Public Library had a delayed opening until noon, the village announced.

Thursday updates:
  • The MTA announced, on its website, that Metro-North will run on Friday but with a Saturday schedule.
  • New Castle issued a message about Friday garbage collection, which is at this link.
  • Mount Kisco expects Jan. 3 refuse to be picked up on Jan. 6, according to this announcement.
  • The Bedford Central School District, which is still scheduled to be on vacation for its schools, will not have transportation on Friday for non-public schools, Superintendent Jere Hochman announced.
  • New Castle announced that declaration of a 24-hour snow emergency, running from 5 p.m. on Jan. 2 to 4:59 p.m. on Jan. 3.
  • Mount Kisco announced that a snow emergency has been declared, which will run from 12:01 a.m. on Friday to 8 a.m. on Friday.
