Curtains Open on Greeley Senior Musical

Horace Greeley's Senior Class Takes on the '80s in "The Wedding Singer."

While most high school seniors are counting down the days to graduation, Horace Greeley's Class of 2011 is watching the clock wind down till the curtains open up on their senior musical, The Wedding Singer.

Over 175 seniors will be performing in the musical which is a jaw-dropping number when compared to the schools , The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which only had a cast of 13. The show needed full dedication of all the seniors involved as most of them had never acted, sang or danced before on stage.

The show takes place in the 80's and is based off of the Adam Sandler movie of the same title. is being directed under the guidance of Christopher Schraufnagel, theatre teacher at Horace Greeley while Linda Duci has taken on the role as choreographer. With all the chaotic involvement needed in the production, three seniors have also taken on roles as Student Producers: Alanna Lauter, Justin Wolf and Emma Zander.

Performances are scheduled for:
- Thursday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m.
- Friday, April 8 at 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m.
