While Eye Level is a global company, the owner of the new Pleasantville location, Margaret Mak, said it specializes in "individualized support."
Mak, a resident of Briarcliff Manor, said she has always had a love for teaching and Eye Level's philosophy appealed to her.
The company teaches students from pre-kindergarten through age 16, which she noted in an email, "are the years in which kids build not only their fundamental skills but also problem solving skills that can transcend across other areas in life."
Mak explained, "Eye Level is unique in providing both basic and critical thinking development. Through small groups and one-on-one support from certified teachers, students will receive the appropriate level of guidance to nurture lifelong, self-directed learners."
She's excited to bring Eye Level to the community and hopes to engage students from Pleasantville, Briarcliff Manor and beyond.
Mak said the center will likely have a soft opening in September, with a grand opening to follow in October or November.
"Eye Level can assist children's academic progress, whether their goals are for early learning, supplemental support or academic challenge," she said.
