If you are a student, your Fox Lane red, white and black or your Greeley orange and blue will get you a break at Frannie's Goodie Shop.
The Mount Kisco frozen yogurt hub is encouraging students at several northern Westchester County school districts to show up with either their school colors - this includes elementary, middle and high schools - or student identification.
"Everyday of the week we are offering students at specific schools a 20% discount for showing their school pride!" explained Christine Pesola, the shop's general manager. In order for the visits to count, however, they must be made on designated days for each school district.
The promotion, which is now in effect and lasts until May 30, comes with a big reward. Whichever school gets the most entries on its given day gets 100 free cups of frozen yogurt on May 31st, Pesola explained.
"We came up with this idea because we'd like to create an area in Mt Kisco where the kids can gather with their friends from school to show their school spirit, enjoy lunch/dinner and a treat, hang out in the pocket park and liven up this area of Mt. Kisco," wrote Frannie Albanese, the shop's owner.
Noting the regional hub status that Mount Kisco has, Albanese added, "We thought it would be fun to also have a little competition between the districts to see who really frequents the area."
Frannie's is counting students from the following school districts on the following days of the week:
Wednesdays: Byram Hills
Fridays (a half-day off special): Rippowam
Saturdays: Yorktown and Somers
Sundays: Pleasantville, Ossining and Briarcliff
