Toys for Tots Chappaqua begins its 2012 Campaign

Toys for Tots Chappaqua is kicking off its annual toy collection. The Program invites the community to contribute new and unwrapped gifts for those in need. The local collection will run through Friday, December 21, 2012.

 “The Westchester communities responded very generously last year,” says Toys for Tots volunteer Christin Simon Ogryzlo. “Once again we would like to encourage people to spread holiday cheer to some of the more than 15 thousand children living in poverty in Westchester County.”

While the Toys for Tots Program collects toys for ages 0-18 years, “gifts for teenage boys and girls are at the top of the list,” says Ogryzlo. The drive is also collecting non-toy items for newborns such as diapers, formula, and cribs.
