Green Snow Removal

Using a Wovel to remove snow is better for the planet than plows and snow blowers and easier on your back than a shovel.

According to the weather, snow is on the way. Instead of paying the snow plow guys a bundle of money, here’s a way to get the snow out of your driveway that is easy and fun. Get yourself a WOVEL instead.  This crazy combination of wheel and shovel is the best green machine for snow removal.

The Wovel was Time magazine’s best invention of 2006.   This wacky snow removal device performs equal to or better than a snow blower, and doesn’t hurt your back at all.  Woveling  clears away snow much faster than shoveling but is no more stressful than walking.  Unlike most things, it is manufactured in the USA.  It gives your tricep muscles a nice workout and is easy enough for a child to operate.

Share your Wovel with your neighbors, so they don’t mess up the air and the planet with stinky, noisy snow blowers. One Wovel can go a long way to make our neighborhoods cleaner and greener.

There is one wovel for sale, fully assembled at the Chappaqua Paint and Hardware Store on South Greeley Avenue. If you’re smart, you’ll get down there and grab it before this weekend’s snow storm. Otherwise visit www.wovel.com for more information.

Took me just under an hour to do my entire driveway and deck with a 1.5 ft of snow! Chappaqua Paint is price gouging at $190.00!! Go to Grassy sprain paint and hardware in Yonkers for $144.95. Wovel.com sells for about same at 139.40 plus tax and delivery. Its absolutely one of the best inventions ever! I bought mine the morning of the storm as I saw the the article in the patch...Many thanks Sue!

Thanks for posting this - sounds cool. What kind of projects will kids do? Also, can an incoming 6thRead More grader participate?
It's About Time June 6, 2013 at 01:45 pm
Hi Lisa! Thanks for your questions. In this unit (Vehicles In Motion) the kids will build CoasterRead More Cars and test different aspects of the motion of their vehicles such as: distance traveled, acceleration, straightness, and friction. This unit emphasizes student collaboration in order to develop a set of performance test procedures for measuring Coaster Car performance. An incoming sixth grader can definitely join! Feel free to call the number above - my co-worker will be happy to help you.
