Three Kings Visit Children at Northern Westchester Hospital

Accompanied by their Squires, the Kings give gifts to children.

Walking in procession through the crowded conference room at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, the three kings -- Gaspar, Melchior and Balthazar -- and their accompanying squires greeted the children and their parents who had gathered to celebrate the Epiphany.

Dozens of children who in conjunction with Neighbors Link had registered with the office of Dr. Pete Richel, the hospital's chief of pediatrics, waited patiently for their names to be called and then walked, ran or were carried before the kings to receive a gift.

The kings this year were portrayed in green by Aaron Chandler (Gaspar), in blue by Phil Capra (Balthazar) and in red by Segio Castillo (Melchior) with Alexa Botero, Tina Batista and her sister Elizabeth dressed as the squire.

Richel praised their volunteerism to come out on a Sunday morning to help put smiles on the faces of the children.
