Hillary Clinton Recovering from Virus, Concussion

Chappaqua resident and Secretary of State fainted earlier due to dehydration from a stomach virus, the State Department announced. She is currently recovering.

U.S. Secretary of State and Chappaqua resident Hillary Clinton fainted due to dehydration in connection with a stomach virus, the State Department announced in a Saturday press release. She suffered a concussion as a result, the announcement states.

Clinton, a former first lady and U.S. Senator from New York, is currently recovering.

"She has been recovering at home and will continue to be monitored regularly by her doctors," stated Philippe Reines, a deputy assistant secretary for the department. "At their recommendation, she will continue to work from home next week, staying in regular contact with Department and other officials. She is looking forward to being back in the office soon.

The Associated Press reports that Clinton caught the virus during a recent visit to Europe and will not testify before Congressional committees about the September assassination of America's ambassador to Libya, which occurred in the Libyan city of Benghazi.
