Snow Storm Arrives in Mt. Kisco & New Castle [PHOTOS]

The snow approached rapidly on Friday afternoon, as activities slowed or halted.

Although the pace of life outside appeared to slow down on Friday afternoon, snow flurries accelerated as the day wore on.

Snow flakes, which were unable to stick as much during the morning, became tenacious in the afternoon, as shops and libraries closed early.

Walking her dog in downtown Mount Kisco, resident Cheryl Fitzgibbons said that she wanted people to "just go and be safe."

Franco Pasquale, who lives in the San Francisco area and came to this area visit his mother, said that wasn't sure what would happen to his flight home.
