Skip Regular Trick or Treating in Mt. Kisco & New Castle

Officials warn that going out may be dangerous. Indoor alternatives reported, such as WeeZee and Grand Prix.

New Castle officials have declared Nov. 7—one week from today—will be the town's official Halloween day.

"The roads are far too dangerous for trick or treating right now," says the notice on the town's website. "We are asking everyone to put off this fun activity for one week when we hope most of the restoration work to be completed."

In the village's post-storm update online, Mount Kisco officials reiterated their warning, "Families are again urged to avoid any trick-or-treating this evening."

Meanwhile, all is not lost. WeeZee announced that it's having a Halloween events for the rest of the week, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with folks encouraged to come in costume. Grand Prix New York announced a Halloween schedule, going until 10 p.m.
