Hillary Clinton and Rand Paul are Best-Liked in New Hampshire: Marist Poll

The Washington Post today ran a political analysis blog piece entitled "Clinton, despite stratospheric poll numbers, is very likely to face primary opposition."

The poll numbers to which reporter-and-blogger Chris Cillizza refers came from surveys of Democratic voters in New Hampshire and Iowa and were done by NBC and Marist College.

In New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton was favored by potential Democratic Primary voters, with 74 percent to 18 percent for her closest putative rival, Vice President Joe Biden.

The Marist poll found she did OK there against possible GOP contenders—and those included Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, and Ted Cruz.

The poll found no clear front-runner among potential Republican primary voters in New Hampshire.

Marist found 71 percent of the state's Republicans have a positive opinion of Rand Paul, however.
