5000 FRENCH TROOPS MARCH TO MOUNT KISCO
DURING THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR MOUNT KISCO AND THE LOCAL REGION BECOME A WAR ZONE - have some fun while learning about and visiting the actual 5000 French Troop encampment in Mount Kisco in 1781. You'll learn about Mount Kisco's critical military role as an encampment for 5000 French soldiers as they marched 700 miles from Newport, Rhode Island to Yorktown, Virginia to fight and win the Battle of Yorktown that ended the Revolutionary War.
