Chanukah Celebration & Service

Looking for a Chanukah celebration that is meaningful and fun? Come share the holiday with the congregation of Temple Shaaray Tefila on Friday, December 14th. Begin the evening with a traditional holiday dinner (latkes included) at 6:30 pm. And bring your menorah from home as we light all of the menorahs to celebrate the festival of Chanukah at our Shabbat service at 7:30 pm. A special Oneg follows with many holiday treats like chocolate gelt, jelly donuts and more.

The celebration will also include a display of creative menorahs made by the Temple’s religious school students. We will also be collecting unwrapped new toys for families in need.  Cost for dinner is $18 per adult, $10 per child, or $50 per family. RSVP for dinner to Robin Weber at (914) 307-0467 or register on the Temple’s website at www.shaaraytefila.org.

“Hanukah celebrates not only a great historical miracle, but also the ability of Jewish ideals and values to endure,” states Rabbi David Greenberg.  “We are grateful for everyone in our congregation and community who help us keep the flame burning.”
