Temple Shaaray Tefila Travels to Breezy Point

On two recent Sundays, almost 100 Temple Shaaray Tefila members of all ages met at 7 am to board a bus which would take them to Breezy Point, Queens, to offer support and helping hands to families that were devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Upon arrival they were met by a group of workers from IsraAid, an Israeli organization whose members travel around the world to offer assistance after catastrophic occurrences.

Come hear about this amazing story directly from the IsraAid representatives on Friday, December 21 at 7:30 pm at Temple Shaaray Tefila. Temple Shaaray Tefila congregant Vivian Cohn, upon her return to Westchester remarked “This group of Israelis has been here for a month, working every day for complete strangers. They are enthusiastic, friendly, hard-working and personable. I felt that I could have invited each and every one home with me and they would have felt like part of the family. What incredible ambassadors for Israel and for all Jews!”

All are welcome to this program.  There is no admission charge.
