Sarah Lawrence College Orchestra performs under the direction of John Yannelli with guest conductor, Christian Wolff. Born in France, Wolff studied extensively in the USA with John Cage and collaborated with Merce Cunningham. Wolffs’ work has been considered revolutionary. He said of his work that it is motivated by his desire "to turn the making of music into a collaborative and transforming activity (performer into composer into listener into composer into performer, etc.).
