Happy New Year!  As we enter 2014, we take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and wish you a happy and healthy new year!

Trend 1: Radiant Orchid is the PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR

Radiant Orchid is the Pantone color of the year 2014 - a dazzling harmony of purple, pink and fuchsia undertones. Spruce up interior spaces by incorporating this eye-catching hue in paint, accent pieces and accessories. As adaptable as it is beautiful, Radiant Orchid complements olive and deeper hunter greens, and offers a gorgeous combination when paired with turquoise, teal and even light yellows. Uplifting and bold without being overpowering, Radiant Orchid re-energizes almost any color palette and provides a unifying element for diverse spaces.

Trend 2: U-Socket

Apple devices reign in most households, so the new U-Socket wall plug has two built-in USB ports to power devices including iPhones, gaming devices, digital cameras, Kindles and iPads. The U-Socket also has a smart sensor that allows it to shut off when the device is fully charged - an environmentally friendly feature that prevents "vampire drain."

Trend 3: Floating Shelves

Cabinets can make or break a kitchen design, and Neil Kelly design consultant Fabian Genovesi likes to break up the cabinet layout.  "I design kitchens that are not just long runs of cabinets but that are broken up into different sections," says Fabian. "Don't take up all the space with cabinets. Have floating shelves, open spaces, and room to hang wall art."

Trend 4: The" In" Metal - Brass

While metals have been popular for many seasons past, this season's focus will be brass. Don't limit yourself to the kitchen, you can incorporate this warm metal in your home design in many different ways. For example, give a brass tub a try.

Trend 5: Fabrics: Large Scale Floral Small Prints and Plaids

Enough with the plain, this season turn to elegant and graceful fabrics. Standard fabrics will be replaced with lavish fabrics such as velvet and silk. This goes for all rooms, try a silk bedspread, or velvet pillows to add an elegant flare to your living space.

Trend 6: The Furniture Design Trends of 2014

Minimal furnishings for an elegant and simple look.

Trend 7: Accessories

One-of-a-kind shapes made from nature remain a powerhouse, raw wood, crystals, watercolor.
