"Its particularly important to give blood in the Summer as the need is up but all too often donations take a vacation along with our Chappaqua and Millwood donors," says John Ehrlich the volunteer coordinator for this first ever July drive. "It's the one gift I can afford to give this year" said a donor upon signing up to give.

Baby Sitting Will Be Provided So Parents Can Donate

As with all Chappaqua community blood drives baby sitting will be provided by teenage volunteers so parents can bring their children.  The kids have fun while their parents donate and it gives the parents an opportunity to show by example that giving blood is a good thing to do.

Stop By Before or After Church or Having Brunch Downtown

Stop by before or after going to Church or having brunch downtown and give a gift of life that means so much.  Masses at the Church are scheduled at 7:30am, 10am and 12pm.  The drive runs concurrently with the Sunday masses.

Chappaqua Community Donors include New Castle town officials and even our County Executive

It’s really amazing how town and area officials step up and join with New Castle residents to donate blood at our community drives.  A number of Town Board Members donate, regulars also include a Town Judge, the Town Attorney, multiple department heads and many other town employees—even our Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.
