Fox Lane Senior wins Acorda Scientific Excellence Award

Fox Lane High School senior Charlotte Herber has won the Acorda Scientific Excellence Award, Bedford Central Superintendent Jere Hochman announced as pat of his community newsletter email.

The award, Hochman wrote, "recognizes Westchester County high school students who are engaged in highly significant STEM research."

Herber discussed her science research project and was interviewed, Hochman stated. Her projected is called "Evidence of Toll-Like Receptor Nine-Mediated Amelioration of Amyloid Pathology in a TgSwDI Mouse Model of Alzheimer's Disease" and she will receive a recognition plaque, the superintendent wrote.

Additionally, Herber was interviewed on the Lisa Wexler Radio Show, Hochman wrote, and it will be accessible on lisawexler.com and wfasam.com
