Katonah residents Lexi Wierdsma, Maelani Groff, Lily Drude and Emma Spada raised more than $445 for the Wounded Warrior Project by hosting a bake sale on Veterans Day, according to a Patch blog post by the school.
The bake sale tradition began three years ago "as a way to connect the day off from school to the meaning of the holiday."
