Photos: Chappaqua Bustling on Community Day

Rotary's annual event draws wide collection of groups, high foot traffic.

Downtown Chappaqua was busy Saturday, as vendors and foot traffic were staples the Rotary's annual New Castle Community Day.

The annual event had dozens of groups scheduled, with those participating ranging from businesses, to politicians, to New Castle town and civic groups.

Linda Kallner, president of the Rotary Club of Chappaqua, described turnout as being good. She believes that it was up from last year because foot traffic was higher towards the end.

Feedback was also good, she said.

"Everybody seemed to really enjoy having the music non stop," she noted; the event included a DJ performing.
