Kickboxing For Fitness Rules For Life – Discipline

Discipline simply explained means that you do what you are supposed to do, what you have to do even when you don’t want to do it. If you can just start there everything else is easy. There really is no way to succeed without discipline. Whether in be trying to get in shape and lose weight or it be starting up a business or even something as easy as keeping yourself organized. A martial artist understands this better than anyone and that is why martial arts such as kickboxing, jiu-jitsu or karate should be your first choice when looking for a new form of fitness to obtain those goals that seem so far from your reach. Let me explain.

Human will is the most powerful, unstoppable force this universe has ever seen.

When training in the martial arts you are faced with many challenges. These challenges are things that maybe you could never see yourself doing previously but now BOOM, they are right there in front of you. You need to dig deep inside yourself for a boost of self confidence to allow you the strength to achieve this goal. That self confidence came from all of the work you have put in leading up to this point. In order for you to put in all that work you had to of sacrificed many evenings out with your friends. You sacrificed that weekend at the beach so you good put in some extra training. You sacrificed that late night piece of chocolate cake you hear crying out to you from the refrigerator so you good maintain your nutrition program. It takes a tremendous amount of discipline to sacrifice those luxuries that you may have grown to love so that you could achieve something you know will love 100 times more. To give up those immediate pleasures in search of a long term goal. This is something we see every day hear at my martial art school.

I say it over and over again and every time I say it I think it becomes more true to me. Human will is the most powerful, unstoppable force this universe has ever seen. We can do anything. Anything we want badly enough is obtainable if we have discipline. If we are able and wiling to sacrifice a little and dedicate our inner strength towards a goal it will be ours. If you do not agree with this then I invite you to stop by one day to see it for yourself. We will be here waiting for you.
