LWV of NEW CASTLE TO HOLD CANDIDATES' NIGHT

The LWV of New Castle will host a Candidates' Night on Thursday, May 16th at 7 pm in the Chappaqua Library Theater.

Candidates for two offices will take part in Candidates' Night on Thursday, May 16th, at 7:00 p.m.  The event will be held at the Chappaqua Library Theater, 195 S. Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua, and is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New Castle.

Candidates' Night is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Warren Messner, Jeffrey Mester and Frederick Stein are running for two open seats on the Board of Education of the Chappaqua Central School District.

Ellen Adnopoz, Maggie Christ and Frederick Stein are running for the one open seat on the Chappaqua Library Board.

After brief opening statements, candidates will respond to questions from the audience.  Following the question and answer period, candidates will give closing statements.  

Questions for the candidates may also be submitted by e-mail to the League by May 15th to lwv.newcastle@gmail.com.   E-mails must include questioner’s name and address.

The elections will be held on Tuesday, May 21st from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the Horace Greeley High School gym, 70 Roaring Brook Road in Chappaqua.  In addition to electing members of the School Board and Library Board, voters will vote on the proposed school and library budgets.
