Deborah Healy-Seidlitz, 49

A memorial service will be held for friends and family to celebrate Deborah's life on Wednesday, October 24, at 11 a.m. at The Meadow at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Route 35 and 121 South in Cross River.

(The following is an obituary for Deborah Healy-Seidlitz)

Pound Ridge resident Deborah Healy-Seidlitz died on Friday, October 19. She was born on July 31, 1963, in Monmouth, N.J., to Donald Healy and Rhonda Lederman.

Deborah always showed kindness and concern for others. For the past 20 years, she worked as a licensed massage therapist. She recently returned to school, attending Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service. Earlier this year, she graduated and received her LMSW and was very excited about her new career.

Deborah will be remembered as loving, caring, nurturing, and generous. She was a true inspiration to all. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved unconditionally. She appreciated nature and all its beauty. She excelled at gardening, cooking, art, and interior decorating. Deborah was very involved in local charity work and was always helping others. She once described herself as a “perpetual student of life.” Deborah was also a true animal lover and leaves behind her treasured pets Remy and Finian.

Deborah is survived by her beloved family: husband, Richard Seidlitz, daughter, Hannah Seidlitz, son, Andrew Seidlitz, of Pound Ridge, parents, Donald Healy, of North Salem, and Rhonda Lederman, of Pompano Beach, Florida, and sisters, Karen Haber, of Yorktown Heights, and Melissa Alpern, of Golden’s Bridge. She is also survived by her extended family and large community of friends. Everyone who knew Deborah will miss her more than can be imagined.
