As the last days of summer approach, there is still excitement in the air for that last weekend before school starts, Labor Day. It is the last hurrah before the morning rush begins, daily homework and the days getting shorter. This year we will be visiting friends in the Midwest so I am excited to do something completely different from what we normally do which almost always includes going to the beach or hanging by the pool.
I still dress for for the hot summer weather but Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to start practicing your layering skills for the Fall. The nights can still get cool enough where you may need a light blazer or scarf. The pieces below are great pieces that you can carry over into upcoming cooler months. I would only swap out the blazer for a darker color or for a creamy & chunky cable knit cardigan and if it's really chilly, add some tights.
I hope that you enjoy this upcoming weekend and reminisce on the wonderful summer days and nights you spent with family and/or friends but that you loo forward to the amazing change in colors in nature that awaits us in the next few months. xx
