Basketball Star Stephon Marbury Cited For Unlicensed Driving

Harrison police cited player Oct.10 after they say he was driving with a suspended license.

Former New York Knicks basketball star Stephon Marbury was cited by Harrison police on Sunday for allegedly driving with a suspended license.

Police say Marbury, 33, was driving northbound on North Street at about 4:50 a.m. when he crossed a double-yellow line near Park Drive. Police then followed Marbury as he drove north on the Hutchinson River Parkway into Purchase, where they say he again crossed over the double-yellow line near the intersection of Purchase Street and Manhattanville Road.

A state Department of Motor Vehicles check revealed that Marbury's license was suspended, police said. Marbury was summonsed for aggravated unlicensed operation and released, he is due in court on Nov. 2.
